This certification is ideal for those in a technical role, senior: 6+ years in IT role and 2-5 years of exposure to AWS Cloud. Candidates would benefit from first earning an AWS Associate and/or Professional Certification prior to earning a Specialty certification.

The ANS-C01 exam is the current version of the AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification. The previous version, ANS-C00, has been retired. Candidates should prepare for the ANS-C01 exam, which reflects the latest AWS networking services and best practices.

Do I need to earn an AWS Associate or Professional certification before taking this exam?

No. AWS lists no mandatory prerequisites for this exam. However, AWS recommends that candidates benefit from first earning an AWS Associate and/or Professional Certification prior to earning a Specialty certification.

Is there a hands-on or lab component to this exam?

No. The ANS-C01 exam consists of 65 questions, either multiple choice or multiple response. There is no hands-on lab component. However, AWS recommends practicing with AWS Builder Labs, AWS Cloud Quest, and AWS Jam as part of your exam preparation.

What is the retake policy if I fail the exam?

AWS Certification exams can be retaken after a 14-day waiting period. There is no limit on the number of attempts, but you must wait 14 days between each attempt. Beta exams can only be taken once.
